Humdrumming is a lunatic publisher of books working predominantly in the fields of horror and fantasy. Originally juggling our working lives with an expensive ‘hobby’, we now are a company consisting of a freelancer designer, a Canadian, and a freelancer writer. And all three of us can read, having been to school and all.
We publish what we like and do it in as interesting, professional and attractive a manner as possible. People like us, we like them.
If only life were as simple as Humdrumming.
Who are these three mad people?

Humdrumming is dedicated to environmental responsibility; as much as possible in an industry based on placing ink on dried sheets made from dead tree flesh. The printer and binder we use principally has gained accreditation from The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), which applies to the paper and cover board, and provides us with an absolute certainty that the paper in our books can be traced through the well managed plantation from which the timber was sourced.
Additionally good to know is that FSC certified forests are managed to ensure long term timber supplies while protecting the environment and the lives of forest-dependent peoples.
When we ship your books, we do not use any styrofoam or plastic air bubble sheets as neither of those materials can be recycled. Yes, those can be re-used, but the materials will not break-down into something that the earth will like before either one of us has passed away to the great bookcase in the sky. We don't expect anyone to wipe-up after we've made a mess in the kitchen, so why would we make someone else to deal with our packing material a century from now? So instead we use corrogated cardboard boxes which are efficiently cut from a sheet with all but zero waste due to an efficient die-cut.
It's our world, but no-one gets out of here alive, so we're doing what's possible to pass it on in better shape than how we got it.
